Grandma Hobbies Are In! Always wanted to learn how to crochet but struggling to get started on your own? Come learn with us!
It's 2026 and Grandma Hobbies Are in! We're making cute fish-shaped bag charms in a fun, social setting.
You’ll learn how to make your own playful fish-shaped bag charm, the kind of accessory that makes someone stop and say, “Wait, did you make that?!”
On Sunday, February 15 from 3:30–5 PM, we’ll be upstairs at pFriem Family Brewers in Milwaukie for an afternoon of crochet and chat.
No experience needed. This is beginner-friendly, relaxed, and very much not your grandma’s crochet circle.
Expect:
• A beer, cider, wine, or NA drink included in your ticket (21+)
• All crochet materials and supplies
• Hands-on and personal instruction
Come solo or with friends. This is for the girls who want something better than another bar night and who like their hobbies a little unexpected.
Spots are limited to keep it intimate.
Come break some plates! Yes, you heard that right.
Smash, shatter, and transform thrifted plates into one-of-a-kind mosaic trays in this hands-on, stress-relieving craft night.
We’ll break the plates, design our mosaics, and turn the pieces into a functional tray you’ll actually use or gift. No experience needed, just a love of making things with your hands and a willingness to try something delightfully unexpected.
✨ Creative
✨ Cathartic
✨ Totally unique
Come for the plate-breaking. Leave with a tray. Stay for the community.

Linocut Printmaking: A 2-Part Series
Wednesdays at Ground Coffee Shop, 6–8:30 PM
January 21 & January 28
This two-week linocut series is for people craving more than a one-off workshop. Instead of dropping in and out, you’ll return with the same small group, moving through the full printmaking process side-by-side. The structure creates momentum, the repetition builds confidence, and the shared experience makes it easier to find time to connect.
You’ll learn to design, carve, ink, and hand-print your own linocut pieces, leaving with a small collection of original prints and a renewed sense of creative belonging. You’ll also get to take home a set of tools to continue practicing at home.
Perfect if you’re feeling creatively stuck, craving a slower hands-on practice, or looking for an easy, welcoming way to meet people through making.
All materials included. Small group. Two evenings of intentional creativity.
Come with friends or come solo and make new friends, Tuesday January 20th at Ground Coffee Shop, and learn how to make your very own crochet bag charm! There will be guided demonstration and instruction. This event is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to brush up on crochet skills.
All materials will be provided. Includes hot tea for a cozy and crafty January night!!
