🖤 Carve & Print 1: Create Your Own Handmade Stamp Collection (Sep 17)
✨ Create & Carve Your Own Handmade Stamp Collection ✨
Ever wanted to make your own stamps for cards, letters, or gifts? In just 2 hours, you’ll design, carve, and print your first collection of handmade stamps - no experience needed!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll discover the joy of designing, carving, and printing your very own stamps. We’ll start with a quick overview of materials, then I’ll demonstrate carving techniques step by step. Together, we’ll work through three approachable designs that anyone can draw (or you can create your own if you prefer!). I’ll have designs you can trace and carve available, if drawing isn’t your thing. By the end, you’ll have carved your first collection of stamps, ready to use again and again, and we’ll practice printing the stamps on some postcards!
Here’s what you’ll take away:
Your own unique handmade stamps - perfect for cards, letters, postcards, envelopes, scrapbooks, dish towels, and more
The skills and techniques to keep creating more stamps on your own
The option to keep going with a take-home kit, available for purchase at the end of class
💡 This workshop is also a fantastic introduction if you’re curious about linocut printmaking.
This event will be on Wednesday, September 17 at Ground Coffee Shop in Hood River, Oregon from 6:30-8:30 pm.
This is part 1 of our 3-part printmaking series! You are welcome to join us for one, two, or all three workshops. We’d love to build a sense of community and see familiar faces return. Don’t miss our bundle & save option to join for 2 workshops!
